8 Wedding Day Perfumes To Mark Your Special Day

It’s been scientifically proven that when we inhale a scent it activates a part of our brain which can trigger specific memories. That’s exactly why we don’t recommend using your regular day-in-and-day-out fragrance on your wedding day. After all, do you really want to evoke the memory of your bus trip to work? Or running errands on the weekend? No. You want to start fresh and mark your special occasion with an equally special fragrance

Whether you’re celebrating during a lavish evening ceremony or an intimate occasion by the beach, there’s a perfectly paired perfume tailored to your special day. We’ve even taken the aesthetic of the bottle into consideration. After all, it will be in the background of all your fabulous ‘getting ready’ photos.

So, as the final step as you get ready to tie the knot, here are eight perfumes that will forever evoke memories of one of the best days of your life.

Narciso Rodriguez Pure Music

Infused with white florals and warm cashmere, this feminine fragrance is both timeless and charming, just like the monochrome bottle it comes in. The perfect perfume for a daytime spring wedding.

$153, Adore Beauty

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia

If you’re heading on a sunny European holiday to tie the knot, may we suggest taking this fresh, sunny citrus-infused fragrance with you? With notes of bergamot, passiflora and ginger piccante, this is a fragrance that will linger from the ceremony to the dance floor.

$165, David Jones

Tiffany & Co. Sheer Eau De Toilette

Bright and sparkling like your first glass of champagne as a married woman, this blackcurrant and vert de mandarine fragrance has been crafted by the world-renowned perfumer, Daniel Andrier especially for Tiffany and Co. It’s best suited for a bride who loves tradition but wants to add their own edge.

$150, Sephora

Byredo Mojave Ghost

Mojave Ghost’s spicy, warm, and feminine notes will appeal to those who are torn somewhere between florals and woody notes. With notes of ambrette, magnolia and sandalwood, this fragrance offers a unique, alluring and delicate scent that lingers on the skin.

$341, MECCA

Maison Margiela Beach Walk

As its name suggests, this salty fragrance is the ideal option for a beachside wedding. With notes of bergamot, pink pepper, lemon and coconut milk, a spritz of this summer’s day-inspired fragrance will fill you with a calm stillness as you step out onto your sandy aisle.

$187, MECCA

Glasshouse Fragrances Kyoto in Bloom – Camellia & Lotus Eau de Parfum

With notes of lotus and amber, this fragrance has been inspired by Kyoto during the springtime. Better still? 1. I wish we could smell all of these through the screen. I need to check out Mohave Ghost in the flesh the next time I am in-store at Mecca. I have smelt Kyoto in Bloom – it’s lovely!

  2. I have the Glasshouse Kyoto in bloom fragrance but I would recommend their Midnight in Milan fragrance more for a wedding. Kyoto is way too musky for a wedding in my opinion.

  3. I can’t remember which scent I wore on my wedding day. If I had to guess it was probably Poeme or J’Adore. I haven’t tried many listed in this article.

  4. I’ll be a guest at a wedding next month, but I probably won’t wear perfume as I really don’t want a migraine on my niece’s big day. She’s a Red Door fan, but I don’t know what she’ll wear on the day.

  5. Perfume is such a personal thing. Smells different on everyone. I would think a wedding day perfume needs to not be overpowering but perfect enough to make you feel beautiful. Some lovely perfumes listed here.
