The Ordinary. The brand we need to talk about!

Theres a new brand called the ordinary. By the same company -Abnormal beauty company. (hyaliminde )

So this range is super cheap – less that $12 for vitamin c, vitamin b and retinol serums. It looks amazing and will be coming to Australia next year.

The products like i said look brilliant and are soooo affordable.

    I have now discovered a serum with niacinamide and zinc https://theordinary.com/en-us/niacinamide-10-zinc-1-serum-100436.html. Since I’ve been using it for 2 weeks, my skin’s oiliness has decreased and my pores are less visible.

    Bad news: Deciem is discontinuing all its sub-brands except for The Ordinary and NIOD. This means Hylamide, HIF, The Chemistry Brand and Abnomaly are all going!

        I’m gutted about Hylamide and The Chemistry Brand. There are so many good products in both ranges. Hylamide HA is a gold standard. TCB has incredible hand creams and their foot cream is a holy grail of mine. I only recently started really loving their giant HA tub.

        Abnomaly barely got off the ground and they also discontinued their lip balm range before I was even able to try it.

        Same, loved those you mentioned and retinol body product was good too. Was hoping they will produce acid rich body lotion too.

        Now with niod and TO only left, I have nothing I need from them. I have used HA from Hylamide (better than niod and TO ones, price wise good and formula wise), TCB HA tub (for nuface on the face and body), hand cream, wanted to go onto hair reduction body cream….

        They have nothing then in body skincare, that is bad. Very. Too many face products. Nothing for body. Meh.

      I saw it in my local Priceline, surprised they stocked it as they don’t have a big range of products. Not interested in trying it as I’m trying to use hair care without SLS and I think this range contains it.

      I literally only got my hands on the range today after buying it from the Deciem website when it launched here, but I noticed it is now available in-store in Priceline.

    I watched Brandon Truaxe’s interview with Nadine Baggott on YouTube today for the first time. If you have never watched this before and love NIOD in particular (c’est moi!), I highly recommend you seek this out. It is fascinating. Brandon is a genius and I am still gutted he left the earthly plane so soon. He had so much insight. It also gave me a much more nuanced understanding of some of the NIOD formulations and ingredients.

    It’s been years, I have tried countless brands, and NIOD is still hands down my favourite skincare brand.

      Thanks @Ethelinde – I watched it some years ago and it is a good video so I watched it again. Nadine kept on interrupting him and I was thinking “let him finish!” 😛

      Brandon really had a good vision and I love the transparency with the brands. it’s such a shame he’s gone.

    The Ordinary, NIOD, The Chemistry Brand and Hylamide are all on sale in the Myer stocktake sale. I am not sure how long this sales goes on for. Also, we went without CAIL 1% for two years and it’s now everywhere and on sale. I would keep buying but I have enough in stock.
