Teeth Grinding

I used to grind my teeth,then I started working for a dentist as a receptionist and I told him about it and he made me a guard which I had to use at night and it worked,much to my husbands relief as I used wake him up with my grinding. So do get one and you have a 99% chance it will work. Very few people who did try one that it did not work. Good luck

I grind my teeth which leads to other problems such as TMJ. I have tried using a mouth guard yet it is not that affective. X

I generally grind through my splint in less than a year – private health pays for one every 2 years. Looking into the source of my grinding with my doctor at at the moment.

My friend needed a new one made up, another friend’s dog ate it when she was staying over!!!

I had the guard made up for me and it works well. I didn’t have to pay for mine though as it was covered with a health care card

It’s all botulinum toxin-A. Botox and Dysport are brands. Botox has more indications as it was the first one on the market.

I got my bruxism guard from the dental hospital made by a last year dental student. It was still about $280. I had ground down and cracked a couple of teeth. One got infected through the crack and had to be pulled out. So important to get one ASAP.

I really wish it was covered by Medicare, but I used to swear by botulinum toxin-A (any brand) injections in the masseter muscles.

(Haven’t needed that particular muscle injected in a while because the migraine temple injection site helps it, but it’s still an effective treatment that’s better than a mouth guard that mightn’t address pain from TMJ disorder.)

I used to grind mine, never realised until I stayed at a friends and she could hear me grinding my teeth in the bedroom next to her, how embarrassing. I don’t think I do it as much now, I’m sure my husband would let me know if I did.

Yay, you! Glad you get it finally! It wasn’t me. BUt I also have a nightguard and they are really helpful.
I have chipped a few teeth so far.. so not keen on breaking any
