Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde L1 Problem

A few weeks ago i bought Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde L1 and was going to attempt to ombre my hair , problem is i opened it up and it says in the instructions not to use it over coloured hair. My hair is coloured, so i was wondering is it still ok to use it? Do they say that because it is going to damage your hair more putting the dye over previously coloured hair or for health concerns? Also i have no intentions to put the colour on my scalp it would just be on my hair.
I don’t know what to do, advise would be great 🙂

I used this product and it ruined my hair badly. It turned it orange(my fault for using it on already lightened hair) and dried my hair really bad which also caused breakage. Now my hair is in the hands of a hairdresser, i am too afraid to touch it myself. To darken hair no probs with packet colour but to lighten it i wouldnt advise. Goodluck.

There are a few reasons it is advised not to be used over color treated hair. The most common reason is going to be damage. Major breakage can occur all over the hair for a long period of time, not just when you’ve dyed it. Also, the colors may not be made to be layered and come out a dreadful color. Just because the box says you are dyeing it color “a” does not mean that it will turn out to be color”a”, especially when you have another color beneath it. I suggest that you do a full strand test: dye a one inch section of your hair, wash it out, dry your hair to see the result. Undertones or basetones of hair dye can have some unwanted effects on your hair. Good luck on ombre!
