Remington dryer reviews and how to use a diffuser? Help me!.

I have been considering purchasing the Remington “blow dry in a box” hair dryer. Aka AC3500AU. It is ceramic tourmaline and ionic. No reviews on here yet. Has anyone used it? What did you think? I have had Remington products in the past that I wasn’t very happy with.

Here is a link to the dryer. It also comes in black.

Also general hair dryer question. I have wavy hair and have tried using a diffuser a few times which left my hair fluffy and frizzy. I held my head upside down and pushed the diffuser up from underneath (if that makes sense?) Any tips on how to make it work?

I will check it the salon series website. How much do they retail for? I actually ended up buying the blow dry in a box. I will be leaving a review and it isn’t good! I must have gotten a dud as it overheated and smoke came flying out of it after I had used it for not even 5 minutes. I am returning it today for my money back. Very disappointing.

Apologies beauty_addict: just read your post this morning. Thought it would be easiest to give you the website so you can look online yourself karminhairtools.com/about-online-retailer I believe there are 2 distributors in Australia. I bought mine in the UK extremely easy process.

Thanks candy fairy, my first straightener was a Remington too. It was before ceramic technology I’m sure it burned the hell out of my hair! I tried the link but I have bad reception where I am at the moment so it wouldn’t load. Will try it again later.

In the end, after all the hassles with the Remington, I decided to dole out a bit more cash and purchased the parlux 3800. It has great reviews and came in so many colours! Its on its way to me in the mail. I really hope I’m not disappointed.

My very first hair straightener was a Remmington. It was alright, however I’ve found other brands better in terms on longjevity throughout the day. I would recommend checking out VS Sassoon. I am a blogger for them and can vouch for their stuff & not just because I get the occassion free item. Their products are actually really good. I wouldn’t bother with them if they weren’t.

Diffusers are tricky and it took me a bit of practice. Turning your head up-side-down is a great way to do it, but it that’s not working for you, try standing normally and just letting the diffuser work by holding it beneith your hair on either side at a time. Does that make sense? I do it this way and it seems to illiminate the frizz. Also straightening first helps too as well as using a good hair oil. I like to use L’Oreal’s Extraordinary Oil, it’s amazing! 🙂

Here a link to a video I did using one of my VS Sassoon dryers which also has a diffuser. Hope you find it helpful and good luck to you and your hair! 🙂

    Wow. That’s pretty awful.

I had a Remington wet to dry straightener. It was terrible. My fair was always super frizzy and damaged looking after using it. I always used heat styling products with it, I shudder to think how bad my hair would’ve looked without them.

Remington products are terrible. My cousin bought a Remington hair straightener and her hair frizzes up 20 mins after straightening.

I looked at a Remington but I decided to buy a Salon Series Ultralight Ionic hair dryer because of all the information I read on their website. There is a very informative “Advice & how to’s” page that I read before deciding. It might just help you as well.
