MooGoo/Thanks to Melmeko
Just wanted to start this thread to say thanks heaps to Melmeko for putting me on to MooGoo shampoo. My hair is the softest, shiniest and thickest it has been in years. My irritated scalp is so far still there but I am going to try their scalp cream next. The anti-ageing face cream is the best as well. I am a total MooGoo convert and am planning to try all of their products. Anyway, thanks again Melmeko-brilliant advice! xxxxx

Oh…..also……my poor hubby has had an outbreak of eczema/dermatitis or whatever on his scalp. It`s been driving him insane. I bought some MooGoo shampoo for him. He`s been washing his hair everyday. I only bought this last weekend, and OMG his scalp is healing before our very eyes. We`re impressed!
Glad to hear that Rose & also glad to hear about your Mum too – you`re a great daughter!
My Dad uses the Moogoo shampoo every day, just had to go & buy 2 more bottles yesterday for him since he`s almost run out. It serves him well, so I`m happy to buy it for him. I`m thinking I may have to start using it again since my scalp`s gone flaky, although that could be because I haven`t quite washed my shampoo out properly or because the water temperature was too hot, I`m not sure.

Rose, I`m pleased to hear that your husband has some relief from the MooGoo shampoo. I love their products and I wish they were on BH because they would get rave reviews.
Rose, I want to acknowledge you for how sweet you are in looking after your mother with such lovely skin care products. You are a very special daughter!
I always have a variety of rashes on my body which I treat with natural remedies. If your husband needs something in addition to MooGoo, I recommend calendula oil (sometimes I alternate it with hypericum oil). I used to buy it from the health food store in a tiny bottle. Now I buy it in a bulk size from a herbal dispensary. If you are in doubt whether it`s right for him, speak to a naturopath in a health food store before you buy it.

Bumping up an old thread rather than starting a new one…….
My poor mum has the worlds most sensitive skin (she reckons!). When I visited a couple of weeks ago, her poor face was red sore and irritated. It was enough to bring her to tears. She seems to react to pretty much everything. I bought her some MooGoo rose hip oil and full cream moisturiser. I was tempted to buy the vitamins eyecream and anti ageing cream, but thought perhaps we would just start with the basics for now. She had only been using it for a few days when I left, and already the difference was amazing. She`s now been using it for about 2 weeks. She called me this morning to rave about how good her skin looks and feels. She said it hasn`t felt this good for years. Wonderful!
So I`m another one would like to thank Melmeko (haven`t seen her around for a while?) and all the others who have contributed to this topic.

Moogoo fan here!
My personal faves are:
- The buttermilk soap. I despair at the expense though (anywhere between $4.95 up to $7, depending on where you shop – I get mine from a discount chemist in Parramatta where its cheaper), but it`s the only soap I can use that doesn`t irritate or dry out my poor hands. Unfortunately I go through it quickly because my Dad uses it too.
- Post waxing cream. I`ve got the pump version & it works really well. Definitely relieves my poor red skin after getting waxed & threaded!
I also use their shampoo & conditioner, but unfortunately the shampoo makes my roots look limp within about a day or 2 & I don`t feel the conditioner is all that moisturising on the ends of my hair. (I`ve got combination hair as well as skin + my scalp & skin are prone to sensitivity & flaking). I`ll use it up though & then look for an alternative. Have used their MSM cream before, that`s not too bad. Also used the Eczema & Psoraisis balm, but I have mixed feelings about it – it has irritated me before both on my face & my body, yet other times its been fine. Also began using their RHO this year, I like it, but I`m not using it atm cos my face gets oilier during summer and the RHO is on the heavier side methinks, so I`ve switched to using Santorini Sun`s Nature`s Facelift (aka olive squalene) as my face oil.

Missteaaddict, thanks for the feedback on MooGoo (I love their products). Are you going to email the company to let them know of your problem with the products going off? Maybe they`re having issues with the natural preservative. I looked at the ingredients list for Cover-Up ButterCup, and the preservative seems to be hops. They are one of very few companies which are using a preservative which isn`t phenoxyethanol (a potentially unhealthy replacement to parabens), which is fantastic. But if they`re having issues with the preservative, then they need to know.
I did mention it in the comments section of my current order where I asked for another sample of it. I think the preservative is fine it`s just that some of the ingredients in the anti-aging cream are very sentisitve to air & light and from memory it`s normally in an airless pump. Hmm, maybe I should email them though.
EDIT: And I can`t believe that i`ve only just realised that they have a pet range called Dr Zoo. That`s awesome, I remember them talking about making a dog shampoo but never heard of it again so thought they`d abandoned the idea. I`ll have to give that a try next time.

Moogoo are branching out into makeup products! Not sure which ones yet but they mentioned it on facebook recently.
I just ordered another 2 bottles of the Oil Cleanser for Normal Skin as i`m nearly out. Unfortunately it disappears quickly in my house since both my boyfriend and I use it every other day (I use toner on my off days if my face is too oily). But it has made a huge difference for both of us. We both have way less pimples (maybe one or two max, and clear skin for the majority of the time) and my boyfriend, who was prone to dry skin, doesn`t have as many problems.
I tried the Cover Up Buttercup on my face on a particularly hot day and it actually melted off so I got a little bit of redness. It also had an unpleasant smell. I couldn`t try the anti-aging cream as it had started growing even though I had only had it for 2-3 weeks and kept it away from light and heat. I think the proper bottles are airtight and keep light out for that reason but it`s still a little bit of a worry (it had a big orange spot underneath the lid and when I opened it, all under the orange discolouration was green & white furry bits). I don`t know, maybe they were old product or got exposed to excess heat whilst in transit, my post wax cream seems fine though.
Having said that, I noticed that they changed the ingredients in the post wax cream. It used to be in a tub but is now in a pump bottle (which I prefer). The cream is thinner, more like a lotion but works just as well. Some minor ingredient changes but I don`t mind. I think they`ve increased the size too (but the price is the same).

I`ve been using the Moogoo oil cleansing method for normal skin for about a week now and think it`s AMAZING!
I`ve always had quite oily skin that`s prone to acne and used scrubs every other day, weekly masks, toner every other day, etc. Now all I use on my face is the Moogoo oil cleanser. My skin has never been this clear before, and I don`t feel oily like I used to. Never believed that oil cleansers would work.
My boyfriend has decided to start using it too, I hope he has similar results.
FYI, I use it a bit differently than most oil cleansers. I just use 2 pumps, massage it into my skin in the shower, leave it for 5 minutes then rinse it off. Easy peasy! I love it so much. Now I can throw out all my other cleansers, scrubs and masks.
Have any other beauties used the oil cleanser and liked it?
Hey MTA I too love Moogoo`s oil cleanser, I`ve been using it for over a year now and would recommend it to everybody! I`m actually yet to try a moogoo product I don`t like, they`ve all worked extremely well for me.
