Miley shuts down Disneyland for Sweet 16

Miley Cyrus is to stage her sweet 16 birthday party at Disneyland in California.

The Hannah Montana star will shut down the theme park for the day on October 5 so she can party with friends, contest winners and fans, who will each pay $284 to hang out with the actress.

Miley will also celebrate her big day with Youth Service America volunteers who have been singled out for their community work.

The Disneyland event will be called Miley’s Sweet 16 -–Share the Celebration. Tickets go on sale on August 30 and are expected to sell fast.

I am sorry girls but is it REALLY necessary to give her the WHOLE of Disneyland? I think that is selfish and VERY diva-like. Celebrities blow things way out of proportion sometimes and to make it worse, fans have to PAY for entry to see her on her birthday. That’s desperate!
Sure little Lana, here is $284 for you to see Miley Cyrus oh and here’s a porsche you can give her for her present. PFFT.

    Yes, but with the amount of publicity her birthday part has recieved, and not to mention it is arranged by disney and there is plenty of information and notices on their website that it will be closed on that day, one would have to be rather daft to turn up unprepared.

    Wow, now thats a very cool birthday party lol, I think it is a bit piggy, I mean you shouldn`t close down a theme park for your birthday, what if you are on holidays and thats the only day you can go to disney land but its closed for a private party, How sad would you be??

    oh i guess it is sort of selfish, but if she`s got the money and the status why not! i guess shutting down the whole of disney land is going a bit ott, but im sure lots of people will pay to get a ticket in!

    I agree Fluffy bunny! and haha Bebbi, wouldnt i t be great to not wait in lines! also all the money paid by the fans to get in will be going to the charity anyway. This girl has worked extremely hard when most other teenage girls are just sitting around all day and then going to school when they have to. she`s probably made more money now then i will ever make in my life time so props to her.

    I really think people need to give Miley a break. Like Inkninja said, she works for Disney, so it wouldn`t suprise me at all if the whole thing was planned by them. She`s just a kid, and I think people are far to harsh. Sure, she may be a little spoilt – but if YOU were making the kind of money at that age, wouldn`t you want to be too? The people bashing her are adults who have the benefit of life experience, perhaps they should take a moment to look back to when they were 15/16 and ask themselves what they would have done.
