Make up in Europe
I’m going to Europe in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if make up is cheaper over there than here? I was wanting some MAC foundation in particular. Thanks for your help ladies 🙂

my aunty lives in switzerlands and each year brings back some make up for me. She always brings back catrice products which are pretty popular over there. I did a blog recently on the products she brought back for me this year

The quality is always really good and arnt expensive from what ive seen. If i was going to switzerland i would definately be buying more. The eyeshadows are great -

I’m heading over to Europe in 3 weeks and i’m going to be in Paris, Spain, Italy and the UK. Looking at this topic got me sooooooooooo excited.. i’ve been researching heaps of French beauty products to buy and i can’t wait to try them all !! My sister just came back from Europe and told me to wait and buy my cosmetics in Spain e.g. Sephora because you can claim 18% tax back when you spend around 90 euros as in Paris the tax back ins 12% but I was wondering are prices in Sephora cheaper in Paris or Spain?
for me sephora was cheaper in france, but everything else was cheaper in spain 🙂 hope you have a great trip! The sephora in italy is quite good too, got some urban decay for around the same price as it would have been in the US 🙂
Thanks babyeest!! i’m totally pumped now!! Cant wail to do a huge beauty Haul in all Sephora in europe 🙂

I just been to Europe (Italy, France and England) and ended up buying all my makeup in London, Boots and Selfridges are the places to go. You can find them both at Oxford street in London. Have fun!!!!!
First, beautychattette…i am more jealous than you can imagine right now.The answer is a big “hell yes, they are “.You have (in the UK),”Boots” and ” Superdrug ” (both pharmacies,a little like our Priceline ) over there. They are a MECCA of cheap, yet amazing stuff (check out boots for their iconic No.7 range, and Superdrug for THE SOAP AND GLORY,Vichey,Nuxe and heaps of other ranges….DIRT CHEAP AND NOT AVAILABLE HERE. Also,it sounds weird,BUT also check out the supermarket chain called “Waitrose”…their health and beauty aisle has to be seen to be believed.I still get palpitations thinking about that place.Oh yeah….don’t forget “Space NK”…..LIKE OUR Mecca Cosmetica. In France….where do i start.Sephora of course,Yves Rocher (an old but FANTASTIC natural cosmetic store with prices to make you cry with joy ),and the best place over there…..THE PHARMACIES.All the spa, makeup artist, beauty ed and celeb fav products come from these.I dare you NOT to come out without kilos of Vichy,Nuxe,Avibon(A MUST HAVE.NON NEGOTIABLE ),Embryolisse Lait Creme (as for Avibon…not up for negotiation at all ),Bioderma (stuff we don’t have here….the whole range )and ROC.These are cult, amazing products that you will swear by (and cry about when you finish them ).In Germany, the supermarkets are ALSO a Godsend (check out one called DM…IT’S A CHAIN,SO YOU’LL ALWAYS FIND ONE ).All these products i mentioned are under $50 AUS (WAY UNDER SOME OF THEM…LIKE UNDER A 20,)And for MAC,check out their own MAC stores (they’re everywhere ).DID I MENTION I’M JEALOUS?As the other beauties said though, the higher end stuff is a little cheaper than us,but get your EUROS AND POUNDS WHEN THE GOING IS GOOD…AND GET IT FROM THE POST OFFICE,NOT A Beauro De Change. It takes less than 2 days to get when ordered and no fees are charged.
