Hair Dressers on the Gold Coast

Hi Ladies,

I moved to the Gold Coast in April, and wanted some advice on some good hair dressers to go to that are reasonably priced for their services.

So far, I have only visited two hair dressers and which are both located in the Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Southport.

I have been to Maddisons twice, and they are quite friendly there and they fixed the terrible uneven “trim” I got at Supercuts! >=(

Do any of you have a “go-to” hair dresser on the Gold Coast or are there any really great hair dressers tucked away somewhere that I should check out?

I have sort of long wavy hair, and usually get about 1cm trimmed of the ends and layers re-done when I go and I’m usually spending $25 – $30. But I’m always open to spend more provided I am happy with the atmosphere and the service if that makes sense?

Thanks in advance for any advice, and Happy New Year! <3

I go to Maddisons and find that they have always done an awesome job on my hair. They always have ideas if i don’t know what to do and Corrine is a great colourist although she can be booked up. They have saved my hair a few times as well. They arn’t the cheapest but I am always happy when I leave there and they are always great at telling me how much its going to cost being on a students budget. Hope that helps, goodluck.

    Thanks Georgina83 🙂
I’ve been there twice now and I’ve been happy each time so I think I will keep visiting them to get my “bimonthly” trim. Being a student as well I do keep an eye on prices too, so I’m hoping I’ll find somewhere with the same standards but a bit cheaper because I usually only work 10 hours a week! :S
