Change of name

Our local chemist has been bought out by PriceLine. Not sure if I am pleased or not. We used to get personalised treatment and knew the chemist and the staff. Already I see different people manning the counter and the pharmecist. Will be nice to have a Priceline near by though.

Chemist Warehouse is merging with Sigma Healthcare which owns the Amcal brand. The Priceline brand is owned by Wesfarmers. Unfortunately, there aren’t many independently owned pharmacies around anymore.

Not that we go to this chemist but a chemist up the road from us was Amcal and they have changed to Priceline. It’s good as when I need to go to Priceline, we can go in there now instead of the big shops at the Plaza. They all seem nice in there and helpful.

I wonder if scripts will be any cheaper? I am lucky to have a few options nearby, Chemist Warehouse is by far the cheapest for scripts. As I take four different tablets, I must choose the cheapest place. Their wait time is atrocious though.

I love Priceline! Hopefully the same staff will stay on and you will get the best of both worlds
