Beauty Heaven Please Delete Spammers Memberships

I’ve been a member here for about 3 years and the spammers were already here when I joined, but in the last 12 months they have multiplied and spread faster than Covid 19. Many genuine members are sick of them, some regular members have left the site because of them which is sad. A lot of us real members have continually marked their comments as spam, talked endlessly on the forums about them and many of us have emailed staff about them. I have seen some comments from the spammers disappear and some spammers given up. I know staff have made some effort but please just cancel their memberships so they can’t comment any more. Surely I.T can introduce some method that will filter out an overseas membership as we all know most of the spammers aren’t in Australia.

    Saw this review on bh’s home page. They mention that the cleanser is always sold out at Walmart. So they clearly copied it from another site.

    In the words of Cher “If I could turn back time”….I’d go back to the old website….because it’ gone to absolute (excuse the language) shite in here now with constant spam & lack of moderation etc etc….(like someone else said) I’m spending less & less time in here & eventually wont come back either…sad really, miss the way it was before move. 🙁

      totally agree and even if you write a genuine forum topic it goes for mediation where as spammers are thick throughout

    Terrible review on the 1000 hour skin exfoliating wand, and it’s on the home page of this site. All of this spam is not a good look BH , and no competitions to enter lately 🙁

      @Lisa359 Staff are probably on leave during holiday period. I don’t return to work myself for 3 weeks after 23 Dec. Some places shut shop 2-3 weeks around this time of the year.

    I was pretty close to leaving all of Tanishka’s spam so it is finally pretty bleedingly obvious how poor the state of the forums is. I still think that might be the best call. In the same boat as @Hayley644.

        I keep spending time away & then return. I won’t return one day.

        If Are Media can’t be bothered fixing this site, I wish they’d resell it to Jackie Maxted – or even Bauer Media. Would anyone buy something so broken?

    Wasting my time now looking at BH as it is just spam. Might just use all my points in the Rewards room and not bother with this site anymore which used to be great. So sad to see what it’s turned into.

      So true! There is an abandoned house near where I live with knee height grass and weeds galore. This site is like that! Too many weeds (Spammers) and uncut grass (tech issues) here! I am so sad seeing what has happened to this site that was once so vibrant with action and happiness!

    I worked as a mod for a website that was US based and we would block the spammers memberships and their IP’s. That helped a lot.
    New members should perhaps be blocked from being able to post new topics until they have been a member for a certain period of time. That might also help with all the spam threads.

      @Meedee – I haven’t been in here for a few days now because of new threads about nothing or starting up threads which we don’t need either. Maybe BH needs to take away the points of starting up a new thread, that will kill them off. They are all just trying to rack up their points for the Rewards Room, plus also annoy the heck out of us here.

      I so miss the old site where we could find all latest articles. @Ethelinde has done a brillant job of reporting spam and now others like @Misfortune8 and other members are trying to report them also but it seems like it all just goes under the radar.

      I am wondering now if BH is actually checking the forums these days now?
