Awful hairdresser!

I went to a new hairdresser on friday night, a friend had given a recommendation and she has great hair.

but my experience was anything but great, they forgot to put something in the colour and my blonde hair that was suppose to be an ashy blonde was purple! to cover up the purple they turned it a grubby brown, i hated it, they put another colour on it to make it a reddy brown. They completely ignored my request for a trim and tidy up and chopped it up and then the foils suppose to highlight and liven up the colour are un even and look bizarre. At the end of all of this they tried to charge me $420 when i made a fuss they reduced it to $280!

i am still un happy but i have no idea what to do. I went back to the hair dresser yesterday to see if they could even up the highlights but i was told i had to wait for the other girl to come back!

poor service and a very poor experience.

If you live in Adelaide and would like to know the name of the hair dresser i am happy to provide it to you, please email me at cassierabbit77@hotmail.com

if you were in this situation what would you do? what do i do next?

thanks

Omg Pepsi that’s terrible! If I was in that situation I’d probably refuse to pay (ok maybe not… I’m not that assertive). I’m a hair dye virgin so I wouldn’t know the technicalities of it, but purple just sounds ridiculous.

Just to clarify, i am a bottle blonde i have been for for about 6 yrs.

My hair is in good shape i look after it well because i bleach it. I went in to have my roots done and the whole lot freshened up! my regular hair dresser does this with out any problems.

I am going to put my complaint into writing to the manager and see what happens! I am afraid to let them near my hair again. at them moment my hair is dry, frizzy and a bit grumpy, so i am going to let it settle and do some intensive treatments to hopefully get it back into reasonable condition.

That’s awful Pepsi. I’m with Michelle, I have no idea why they would try and fix it like that, only to make it worse! I don’t understand why they wouldn’t try and rectify there mistake so that you would leave happy. I would go and speak to the owner and see what can be done, if she refuses to take any responsibility and fix this, I would tell her that you will go to consumer affairs and see what they have to say. They shouldn’t have charged you at all and should be fixing there mistake for free. I hope you get something done and your hair is fixed. 🙂

So you went in wanting to have blonde done and come out brown? I’d be beyond angry that it wasnt even kind of done. I read over what she did twice and it made no sense, if she was bleaching it or whatever, why the purple? You only get that from toner and any, even bad, hairdresser would know you cant use a toner to lighten, its only to remove brassiness. hell, even i know that. Plus all that colouring in one go wouldnt have done your hair much good. I agree speak to the owner and make it clear you didnt get what you wanted done atall. They should fix it at no cost as it was their staff that messed it up big time. Let us know what happens with what you choose to do 🙂

pepsi thats just bizzare if it went purple, it sounds like they quite simply over toned it and all they had to do was a 2 min bleach bath or stripper or something similar instead of making it dirty brown then red brown, then adding foils. it really sounds as though she had no idea what she was doing.

i wouldn’t trust the same girl to re-do it but it may be worth talking to both the salon owner and the hairdresser who did it at the same time, so that you can explain what you wanted to the owner/manager and the stylist can justify what she did/used and, why she did what she did to fix it.

i’d love to know her explaination of what went wrong and why she chose that insane way of fixing it.

i would perhaps depending on the condition of your hair find somewhere to do foils, i perhaps a caramelly dark blonde just to lighten it up a bit.
