Aldi copy of Olay Moisturiser? Good or bad>
In Beautorium I got the ‘Olay total effects (normal formula) with UV protection moisturiser’. I have been using it for two weeks, and its great. I love that it has spf, moisturises, and doesn’t get oily on my face. It doesn’t even break me out which is surprising since I have oily skin! Im 22, so I think is a great product to keep on using in my early twenties.
However, in Aldi I saw that they made a copy of this moisturiser! It’s $15 cheaper, it’s called ‘LACURA Total Care Seven Anti Aging Face Cream SPF 15’ It looks exactly the same, except the name is different and its made in australia. Have any of you guys tried this? I don’t know if I should buy it.

I think it could be worth a go. Maybe take a photo if the ingredients list on the Aldi version so as you can compare! I have heard heaps of good reports on Aldi skincare, but one thing I keep seeing is that it’s highly perfumed. I can vouch for that as I have just purchased the Lacuara Age Vitale anti-pigment gel. It’s lovely, but a bit too much perfume. If you do decide to buy, please let us know how it compares. I think there’s another thread on Lacura on the forums somewhere too.
That’s such a good idea, i’ll take a pic of the ingredients and compare them. If I do buy i’ll find the lacura forum and let everyone know how it went 🙂

Well my sister has started using it! And I saw her yesterday and her skin is looking great! She also told me she was wearing their sunset blush for 5.99 , it is the only shade they sell. and gets her shampoo and body lotion there too! I was sort of horrified at first but it actually looked and smelt pretty great! You would never know where it had been from! Nothing wrong with aldi!! It is great or canned food and foods that come packaged! Not the best for fresh food items! I say go for it! I’m going to check out there products too!
Oh cool! Maybe it’s fine then 🙂 It is only $15… So I guess I have nothing to lose, I will check the ingredients though, but it is made in Australia so it should be okay. I love aldi for food, i just was never really interested in their beauty lines until I took a proper look recently.

I can remember reading somwhere a while back (can’t remember where) that the Aldi range is actually really good.
I did buy a couple of their lip glosses once and they were quite nice.

You pay what you get.
I always go into Aldi and smell there products (I know odd) but to me it smells nasty and the displays are always nasty.
But each to there own. I think its cheap so maybe look to see what it contains and give it a go.
Yeah, it is cheap so I might check the ingredients and compare them with the olay one. I can’t find the ingredients listed online though. It’s interesting you say their products smell, because my sister actually bought a lacura mascara, and told me to smell it lol! It was the worst smelling mascara I have ever smelt. It smelt like something had died in the bottle. But it did really give her nice looking lashes, but she never bought it again because of the smell.

Hmm..not sure about it compared with the original Olay version, but my mum uses the Lacura skincare products and she loves them. I use the Lacura cosmetics (lipsticks in particular) and find they’re just as good as my products by more widespread brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline.
About a year ago I saw an article comparing one of the Napoleon foundations and a lesser known brand – it pointed out their visual similarities and revealed that they were, in fact, the same product because they were made by they same company/factory (can’t quite remember but I’ll try to find the blog/article source), but there was about a $40 price difference. I’m not suggesting that’s the case with these moisturisers, but it is possible.Yeah, im a bit unsure if it’ll be the same, so I don’t want to waste the money in case its not. I can’t find much info online about it. The original Olay is made in Thailand, so I think the formulas may be different. I wouldn’t mind trying the lacura makeup though, since I have heard its good. Just don’t want to waste money on something in case its less effective, but it is cheap.
