Apple, Coco, Poppy Honey, Bluebell – no, these aren’t names of cereals, sorry to disappoint. They’re baby names, real life baby names from the fancy world of Hollywood.
Celebrity couples have resorted to naming their children after fruits, vegetables, colours of the rainbow and inanimate objects, adding more wackiness to the baby naming industry.
But have you ever wondered why they do that? Why would Nicole Richie and Joel Madden name their son, Sparrow?

Similarly, there can only be one Harper Seven Beckham, as that chubby bub is already a brand in herself. Mad Men hottie, January Jones, also welcomed her first child last year and named him Xander Dane Jones – another exceptional and rare name in its truest form.

The Hollywood influence screamed through, as Twilight-inspired names topped the list; Jacob was the most popular name for boys and Isabella ranked as the second most popular name for girls. The Kardashian fever brought Mason to rank number two on the most popular boy names, reinstating the power of Hollywood’s glitterati.
The fate of these star kids is unknown; they may become the next huge star, or they may just be the strangely named child of that actor who used to be famous. One thing’s for sure though, the industry of baby names won’t be able to cope up if it were to see another David or Susan!
Would you ever give your baby a crazy / unique name? What’s the strangest name you’ve heard?
