It’s no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow is a new-age beauty enthusiast. From her jade ‘yoni’ eggs to bee venom therapy, she doesn’t shy away from the weird and wacky. So, for someone like Gwyneth, injectables err on the ‘less wacky’ side of the Goop beauty scale.
To keep said scale in balance, the actress-turned-business-mogul keeps a keen balance between receiving ‘tweakments’ and obeying her otherwise ‘natural’ ethos.
She wrote about this in a recent Instagram post: “Ageing and acceptance is a lesson in balance…I toggle between embracing the imperfections, the laugh lines and wrinkles, and still wanting to optimize how I look, and feel my best at 50.”
For her, this means toying with injectables and keeping true to her beauty commandments of “amazing nutrition and sleep” (as told to Allure).
Taking a more conservative approach to anti-wrinkle treatments, she was previously an ambassador for Botox alternative Xeomin. She told Harper’s Bazaar that the tiny jab makes her “look less pissed off”.
More recently, on her Instagram stories, Gwyneth also reflected on her wrinkle-freezing fails. As a self-professed ‘open book’, the Goop founder hosted a Q&A, where she answered a fan’s question about ‘trying Botox’.
“God yes. Both successfully and unsuccessfully, I’m afraid,” she wrote back.
This seems to be in reference to a past injectable fail, which she spoke about in her Harper’s Bazaar interview.
“I had a midlife crisis when I turned 40, and I went to go see this doctor. It was a disaster. I didn’t do anything else for a long, long time. I was bruised, my forehead was completely frozen, and I didn’t look like myself at all,” she admitted. Ouch.
While it’s safe to say this beauty blunder has worn off, Gwyneth’s experience goes to show that such treatments should be administered in the right hands. She went on to say that now that she’s found a reputable doctor, she feels more comfortable getting the treatment.
To little surprise, nowadays, the mother-of-two also credits much of her beauty prowess to her own products. She’s both Goop’s founder and biggest fan.

Like Gwyneth, have you had any injectable fails?
I’m not tempted to do any of these.
Nothing invasive for me unless is absolutely necessary.
Would only do medically needed work on my face and body
Yes I had a friend who had a droop on one eye and this was used to correct but to me that was only type of reason I would use.
No fails for me because I haven’t gone down the injectables path, and I won’t do in the future.
I’ve never had any injectables & I can’t imagine changing my mind.
I haven’t either and also will not be changing my mind.
I have never had any injectables before
If I was ever frowning badly, maybe I would do it too. But I can not frown (and not raising eyebrows either much ), it feels weird to use those muscles. So naturally my forehead is smooth.
I can hardly see any wrinkles around her eyes. So lucky
I would never look at these unless for medical reasons
watching injectables videos in instagram freak me out
She needs to think about her sunscreen fails more.
It all sounds expensive to me
I don’t think I’d ever take any sort of advice from Gwyneth Paltrow!
I will stick to what I know
I haven’t had any injectables, that is my worst nightmare. Im too scared to mess my face up
I love it when stars actually admit the work they’ve had done
I would never consider any injectables.
Weird and Wacky is right but each to their own -just not for me
No Gwyneth is not my favourite and I find her too out there
Everything Doesn’t always work well
I’m too scared to try that
