Amal Clooney’s Product Highlights From The Venice Film Festival

If there’s one person we’d love to trade places with right now, it’d be Amal Clooney.

Making a grand entrance at the DVF Awards in Venice, the human rights lawyer stunned in a pale peach vintage Christian Dior gown. With husband George Clooney on her arm, she looked positively radiant whilst sailing across the Venetian canals to her destination.

As a recipient of the DVF Leadership Award, Amal’s beauty look certainly matched the occasion. With freshly highlighted locks by hair and makeup artist Dimitris Giannetos, loose curls were pinned back from her face while the rest of her hair hung loose.

Dimitris was also responsible for Amal’s glowy pink-toned makeup, in which he used all Charlotte Tilbury products. Here, we break down Amal Clooney’s Venice makeup look with product highlights and alternatives…

Amal Clooney’s Venice Film Festival makeup

Skin prep

The secret to a radiant makeup look is all in the skin prep. Prior to applying foundation, Dimitris prepped Clooney’s face with a clay mask and hydrating sheet mask. He then used a glow-inducing toner and serum, alongside a hydrating eye cream and lip balm.

We recommend the Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask ($49.99 at alya skin) and Ella Baché Intensive Extreme Regeneration Mask ($32 at Ella Baché) to start your look off on the right note.

Complexion

The key products behind Amal’s glowing complexion were the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation ($65 at Charlotte Tilbury) and Matte Beauty Blush Wand in ‘Pillow Talk Peach Pop’ ($60 at Charlotte Tilbury). This combo? A match made in heaven.

Eyes

After a simple comb-through of brow gel and light definition on Amal’s already beautiful brows, Dimitris kept things easy with a cream champagne-toned shadow (we recommend the Revlon Colorstay Creme Eye Shadow in ‘Praline’, $16.95 at Chemist Warehouse) and Charlotte Tilbury’s glitter eyeshadow topper in ‘Pillow Talk Diamonds’ ($51 at Charlotte Tilbury).

Lips

The magic lip combo is all thanks to a coral peach lip liner,  matte berry lipstick and a finishing pop of satin-finish pink lipstick. Dimitris used the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in ‘Pink Venus’ ($35 at Charlotte Tilbury), Pillow Talk Lipstick ($49 at Charlotte Tilbury) and Hot Lips 2 in ‘Dancefloor Princess’ ($55 at Charlotte Tilbury).
