If you happen to pass by a few guys on the streets this month rocking a single painted finger nail, don’t worry, it’s not the beginning of the male manicure trend we’ve all been waiting for, it’s for something way, way better.
Australian not-for-profit organisation YGAP has unveiled their new campaign, Polished Man, to raise awareness and funds for children that have fallen victim to sexual and/or physical violence.
The campaign recruits dudes from around the world to paint one of their fingernails to begin a conversation about the issue. The money collected from donations goes to trauma recovery and prevention programs across the globe.

“The power to stop this is on your hands. It starts with painting a fingernail. That nail leads to a conversation. That conversation inspires a donation. That donation allows for prevention and protection,” reads the website.

Some high-profile celebrities and sports stars have already joined the cause, including Chris Hemsworth, Michael Klim, Elliot Costello and Tyler Blackburn.
