Files, scrubs, gels and creams – foot care can be a tricky procedure to figure out. The best approach is to do what works best for your feet. In general, you should use a foot scrub more often than a foot file as foot scrapers, stones and files can be a lot more abrasive, so are not recommended for frequent use. Mild-moderately dry, scaly skin is ideal for a scrub whereas calluses and tough, hard to budge skin patches need to be filed back with a scraper. Don’t aim to do it all at once if the skin is really thick – use your scraper once a week until fresh skin is revealed.

I’ve never used a scraper before – actually didn’t know they existed till this article!
Mmmm sounds like it’s best to do small amounts regularly. Food for thought.
