Did you ever coat your nails with White Out liquid paper in class and secretly like the soft, matte texture? Perhaps you even ran your pink highlighter over the blank white canvas to create more of an eye-popping hue? Yeah, science bored me too!
Luckily for us (and our nails!), liquid paper is no longer the ticket to pastel perfection on our nails, and now we can enjoy the muted hue on our faces too.
Some of my favourite ways to feel a little prettier is to pop a pastel pink on my peepers or a milky lemon on my toes – which will really stand out when teamed with a faux glow. Some of my pastel product must-haves include:
Bourjois Pastel Lumiere (Round Box Eyeshadow) is a dream to wear on your lids, and with 16 sweet-as-sugar shades, I dare you to stop at just one.
Mavala Switzerland Nail Polishes in The Pastel Colours (Pistache and Apricot) give that fabulous ‘schoolgirl playing with liquid paper’ effect we loved so much – without being gluggy and messy (or smelling weird!)…
OPI Who The Shrek Are You? In Fiercly Fiona (a pastel yellow) is the perfect punchy hue to pull out for your toes and it goes hand in hand with my favourite black sandals for an eye-catching combo.
Dr.Hauschka Skin Care Natural Pastel Lipsticks are the best tools for a softened, pretty pout. The pastel pink is a great way to colour the lips without being so OTT that it stands in the way of a bold smoky eye. Well, we can’t leave our lips natural now can we?
What’s your favourite way to wear pastels?
