Well hey there, bride-to-be! Congrats on your upcoming big day. You must be exhausted from all the skin, body, hair, and nail prep you’ve been doing in the lead-up.
Sorry? What’s that? You haven’t even thought of your nails? If I wasn’t so committed to you looking flawless from the tip of your head to the bottoms of your feet, then I’d be pretty angry right now. Instead, I’ll put my feelings aside to help a brother out.
NAIL PREP STEP #1: STRENGTH
Strong nails are nails that grow, and there’s nothing that can show off your bridal mani quite as well as long, elegant nails can.
Try Revitanail Sensitive Nail Strengthenerfor a couple of weeks before your wedding. Apply a thin coat of the baby pink polish to your nails daily for four consecutive days. On the fifth day, remove and repeat the process three more times (see why you need a couple of weeks?) for stronger nails. Note: if you want to do this more than once, you’ll need to leave a week or two between programs.
NAIL PREP STEP #2: MOISTURE
What do you think will complement your wedding bling more – rough, dry hands and cuticles or skin that’s smooth and baby soft? Thought so.
Try Absolutely Gorgeous Healing Hand and Nail Cream in the weeks leading up to the event. It’s super nourishing so it’ll help heal any dry patches and keep your hands and cuticles in tip top shape. Hot tip: the blend of herbs, shea butter and jojoba seed oil is so nourishing, you can use it on your feet, too.
NAIL PREP STEP #2: COLOUR
Just like you can’t pick your wedding the dress the day before your wedding, you can’t pick your nail colour either. It’s probably a good idea to have a play around with a few different shades and see which ones suit your skin tone best and which ones may be a bit too bright for your taste.Start your search by trying one of these:
MAC Nail Lacquer in Delicate
Revitanail Triple Strength Polish in Marshmallow
Maybelline New York Color Show in Born With It
SinfulColors Shimmer in Glass Pink
What has been your biggest focus when it comes (or came) to preparing for your wedding? What nail shade would you wear to your wedding?
