When we think Julia Roberts, we think demure. And her love for all things Lancôme (read: this specific primer), proves our point. Well, that is of course until she goes and points us in the direction of her favourite hydrators.
Yep, Julia loves a bargain moisturiser. Heck, you can find it in the kitchen (*ahem* it’s olive oil). But she wasn’t done sharing her fave budget-approved hydrating tricks. Nope, sharing to Instyle, Julia revealed that she’s seriously particular when it comes to her hand health (much like Scarlett Johansson).
And we totally understand. Our hands are one of the first indicators of age, so, if you’re looking to rewind the clock, be sure to look after your hands (and while you’re at it, probably worth helping your nails out too). And we can’t get enough of her budget (and body) approved fave…
Julia Roberts’ Hand Cream
From $28.95 at Adore Beauty
Yep, Julia Robert’s is just like us. Well kind of. She lives for this incredibly hydrating, natural tube. She “put[s] it on [her] hands after [she] wash the dishes”, yep, she’s still out here scrubbing away. But the hydration doesn’t stop there, nope, she “wind[s] up putting it on [her] elbows and feet. Before you know it, [she’s] squeezed this poor little green tube into a twist”.
We’ve never felt closer to a celeb in our lives, because that is the exact same way our poor tube ends up! It must be down to the nourishing benefits of the sunflower seed and sweet almond oils that leave us wanting more.

Do you have a favourite hand cream? Have you used Julia Roberts’ favourite?
I’m not really fancy when it comes about hand cream, I’m using Du’it at the moment.
I’ve used that hand cream before too, its great and very hydrating.
She always seems to be smiling. So lovely
I’m really loving the Dermal Therapy Very Rough Hand Balm 100g…and only $6.99 at Chemist Warehouse at the moment. Great for hands that need protection if handwashing a lot during the day.
I also like Palmer’s Raw Shea Hand Cream but but I’m not sure if it provides as much of a barrier for really dry hands, so only use it at night.
Everyone seems to love this brand
Ooh I have some of this, I must try it
I don’t mind this product, I doubt JR washes her dishes though
DU-IT or Dermal Therapy are my repeat purchases for the rare times I need a hand cream.
I have to admit I use whichever hand cream is on sale when I need a refill.
Too rich for a hand cream for me.
I am always on the lookout for a good hand cream. Weleda Skin Food is a bit pricey for me as I am constantly using hand cream. Might put it on my Christmas wish list.
Very god idea for a Christmas present. I would be happy with this.
I don’t have a favourite – I just use whatever hand cream is nearest to me.
Weleda is a good brand.
I use Du’ IT rose hand cream.
Yes, Weleda products are good
