A new grey in town

A new grey in town

I grew up in the UK and can’t help but associate winter with grey. Miserable, dull grey. So, as I’m sitting at my desk, looking for a distraction from the fluffy hair that this seasonal rain has bestowed upon me, I’ve discovered that for once, grey doesn’t have to mean dull.

For today, Aussie fave Bloom launches two limited edition grey Nail Polishes, Agyness and Alexa.

So I know that grey is meant to be all cool and edgy, a moody hue, but I just haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face since Agyness landed on my desk last week. (Not a sentence I ever envisaged myself saying.) You may remember I’ve been on the quest for the perfect shade of grey since I returned from the big smoke where grey was a big hit. No coincidence then that two of London’s coolest It girls, Aggy Deyn and Alexa Chung, have the same name as the polishes.

Agyness is the new love of my cosmetics life. Honestly, a splash of this matte industrial grey goes with everything, every single outfit in my busting-at-the-hinges wardrobe. Yesterday I teamed it with a slick of red lippy, which was met with compliments all round. And if you’re heading for a night out, be sure to shimmer in style with Alexa, a gunmetal silvery-grey.

But be quick girls, as I said they’re out today in Bloom’s flagship Melbourne store and online but only until stocks last. And seeing as I’m tempted to buy a year’s supply of Aggy, that ain’t gonna be long.

Ps. handy hint:L’Oréal Professionnel Play Ball Anti-Frizz Fizz works wonders on fluffy frizz-ballness. Because us bh ladies don’t have bad hair.

Now did we make any fab beauty purchases at the weekend?
