Afterpay Australian Fashion Week is back for 2022. And among the colourful street styles and ’90s grunge trends comes some fantastic news. Australian supermodel Robyn Lawley will be returning to home soil to spearhead the first-ever size-inclusive runway show.
Debuting on Thursday at AAFW, ‘The Curve Edit’ is set to feature not just one but six designers who are passionate about inclusive sizing and the future of curve fashion.
Presented by Bella Management, the show is going to be “a celebration of 20 years in fashion and a thank you to the curve fashion industry and Bella’s clients who have embraced extended size ranges over the past 20 years.”
Some of you may recognise Robyn from magazine covers, having formerly fronted the likes of Cosmopolitan, marie claire and InStyle. The 32-year-old has always been an advocate for body positivity and a voice of representation in the industry.
Robyn will be walking alongside Bella Management’s top curve models, including Stefania Ferrario, Bruna Lapinskas, Milo Hartill, Sophie Sheppard and Jess King.
The Curve Runway designers will include…
- Saint Somebody
- Vagary
- 17 Sundays
- Harlow
- Embody
- Zaliea
All of whom have size ranges that extend beyond a size 20. Hurray for inclusive fashion!

Do you recognise Robyn? Do you like the idea of a curve runway at fashion week?
I love Robyn Lawley! Now we need pocket rocket representation.
I have not heard of her, but she is lovely
Yes, hurray for inclusive fashion !
Glad to hear Australian fashion is recognising we aren’t all one size. I am very pleased to hear of this inclusiveness. Great news. Robyn Lawley is beautiful.
She definitely is!
I do remember her!
Love fashion and used to watch fashion shows. Did not see but only super lean models.
Love this!
About time!
A sign of the times! Great news 🙂
A good change in my view. We come in a range of sizes and not everyone can or wants to be super stick thin.
Excellent idea. Well done.
This is great and about time too.
I didn’t know who she was, but this is a great initiative!
I think I have seen Robyn before , is she a plus size model? because she just looks normal to me.
That’s because many other models are too thin!
That’s so great to hear! All brands should get on board
Very happy to see fashion tailored to a variety of sizes.
This is so great to see. All women are beautiful no matter what size they are.
She looks fabulous, and well done fashion designers who include models who aren’t stick insects
Agree wholeheartedly!
Never heard of her but cool – good step in the right direction!
Robyn is stunning.
She looks fantastic!
I think it is humbling to see the inclusion of fuller figure woman in mainstream stores. I have friends who have sound it difficult, often needing to go to Millers, Rockmans to find ‘suitable’ clothing. It is great to see The Iconic and Asos having their house brands creating replicas of the ‘mainstream’ sizes to suit the body types of different women’s body types.
That is awesome.
This was fantastic to see. There still isn’t nearly enough size diversity in fashion – sizing should reflect people, not be so exclusive. Excited to see a lot more stores that cater for sizes 18+ these days.
This is good to see. Equality.
Robyn is stunning
The representation is gorgeous
I don’t know who she is, but she looks healthy and confident 🙂
