There are ways to tone and tighten that don’t exist within the four walls of your local gym. Do they exist in the bottom of a bottle of firming moisturiser, however? Um, not quite. To be perfectly honest, using a firming body cream won’t act as a the equivalent of smashing out 50 lunges. But what it will do is work toward toning problem areas, reducing the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks and of course, leaving us all feeling more confident.
Whether you’re currently pregnant (or just were), have had a recent weight loss or just want to feel a bit happier in your own skin, here are seven firming body creams that will tone, tighten and firm.

Trilogy Firming Body Lotion
We say: Suitable for all skin types, Trilogy’s Firming Lotion has been infused with rosehip, evening primrose and caffeine to rejuvenate skin. Apply daily and enjoy soft, smooth and invigorated skin.
You say: “Don’t think rosehip = rose scent, it is a very earthy botanical type scent which is great as it is mild but also unisex, so suitable for males for females It rubs in easily and there is no waxy or greasy residue but skin feels soft, hydrated and silky smooth. I am really impressed with this one, it is light enough that I can put clothing on immediately with no fear of stickiness or greasy marks, but it is long-term hydrating.” – duality

Have you tried a firming moisturiser? If not, would you like to?
I’ve never tried a firming body cream before. I wonder if it actually works
I’ve heard someone mentioning the Jergen’s product recently.
i use the Jergen’s one and I love it. it won’t perform miracles but does a good job for a simple body lotion
Yeah, I wonder that too. I’m intrigued
yes it sounds too good to be true.
I used some of them in the past and honestly I didn’t notice any difference.
The NIVEA Q10 Rich Firming Lotion sounds like a goer. Very well priced.
I would love to try it.
I’ve used Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, but all I think it does is make me smell nice.
Yes definitely. Plus subtle shimmer on the sun, looks good
No “firming”. No cream can do this. Moisturize, yes. So this makes skin plump and bouncy, preventing crepeyness. That is the reason I like nice body creams. To counteract harsh smelly city water. And plump the skin.
That makes sense .Thanks Yohanna
Possibly the massaging in can help your skin.
I’m a bit skeptical about these claims, to be honest
Me too, Karma Llama
Sounds too easy to be true.
Me too, I would love it if they did work and would be straight out there buying some.
I haven’t tried any of these but want to try firming some skin on my arms.
I have not tried any the products listed above, but I will on the lookout for them now
I am not convinced these work.
Not really convinced but as a moisturiser yes
totally -I think you have to exercise to firm any part of your body.
love to try them! sounds great!
Really like the NIVEA Q10 Rich Firming Lotion with Vitamin C such a great body lotion, use it morning and night.
I love Trilogy products, but the Jergens and Nivea are both good budget options. Dunno that they really firm, but they’re good moisturisers.
Read so many bad reviews on the Bangn Body firming lotion (not on their website of course). A lot of influencers promote it too. I wouldn’t try it.
Oh really? Bad because it just does not work?
I don’t like Charleotte Tilburys wording of “appears reduced” It is very unclear if it actually does work???
Not sure these work but at least they moisturize
Those that cost the same as a usual body lotion – you have nothing to lose. If they are expensive because they are ‘firming’ – could be an expensive body lotion! I notice some say improve the ‘appearance of cellulite’ (or similar wording), a hat improves the appearance of bad hair!
Yes the CT one says that and at oiver $60 its expensive when they it only appears to work, not actually work
I agree and if they are not expensive might as well use them as a body lotion. Hope for the best??
Must try the Jergens, good value too
I’ve used Palmers one before but can’t say it did anything to firm up my skin, nice as a moisturizer though
Some good moisturisers there, but I’ve never seen the slightest impact re firming from any of them.
i love that dr Jergen’s cream so much
I love the smell of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Firming Body Lotion.
I think i’ve tried a jergens one before(not that one listed above) but it was really good and did seem to firm up or atleast tone up my skin
I need these products in my life!
I adore the NIVEA Q10 Rich Firming Lotion! Not sure about the firming effects, but very moisturising.
These creams could probably smooth the appearance of rough and dry skin but tighten?
I am very sceptical on these firming products, I am sure they do something but visible change – not sold.
The nivea cream is great
I haven’t found a cream yet that actually works.
I’m not happy with the wording some companies use, like Charlotte tilbury says “aapears” to reduce, I mean to me, this means absolutely nothing is going to happen and the product doesn’t work
I’ve used a couple. Moisturising, yes. Firming, no.
I’m a bit skeptical as to the efficacy of these products.
Some great body lotions for moisturising there, but I’m not convinced they really help with toning or firming.
I like a firming cream that is also a moisturiser and also maybe, a self tanning??
