If you, like us, spend most of your time at home in trackie pants and chunky knits, body care is probably the last thing on your mind — until you put on a date night dress and discover your legs look (and feel) like sandpaper.
You may find that your lightweight summer lotions just don’t do the trick as the mercury (along with your skin’s hydration) drops. But thankfully, there are a slew of nourishing body creams to help keep your skin silky soft and hydrated all winter long.
And although we can’t promise these products will give you JLo’s toned, bronzed pins, your skin will certainly thank you for giving it the TLC it needs.

Which of these body creams will you be reaching for this winter?
I’ve tried Weleda Skin Food (too thick for my liking) and La Roche Posay (such lovely- great texture and easy to rub in)
It also comes in body lotion form.
There’s a thinner body butter version as well.
I recognised the brand DU’IT from the Rewards Room but unfortunately they don’t have this product available
I live L’Occitane almond cream more and almond body oil. Yum! Skin soooo soft. Also weleda is ok, LRP great too.
*love
Oh yes girl, it is lavish, I love L’occitane it’s very nourishing also the shea butter range is fab.
Love the almond collection- smells yummy!
I love Urederm!
Absolutely. I get really dry hands and Urederm works a treat
the name though. never tried.
Weleda skin food and L’Occitane hand creams.
I’m intrigued by the caffeine toning skin cream – I could do with some of that in my life. I like the sound of the Waleda cream too.
That one has me fascinated too!
I’m using Sukin lotion at the moment. It smells really nice but it’s a bit too light this time of year
I’ve always wanted to try that Bum Bum cream.
Yes the name gives funny connotations. Give a go and them review LOL XX
Scent is really good! Also potent, projects! Has a subtle fine sparkle to it too. Looks great on the sun
would love to read a review on this to see what its all about really – maybe it’s actually a really amazing product with just a funny name!
It smells delicious and has a lovely texture.
I want to use it just for the name!
Would love to try the L’Occitane Shea Ultra Rich Body Cream, I use their hand creams and they work fantastically on my skin.
That is so good to know
Loccitane makes gorgeous products
now they even have refill pods for that cream. You just keep the tin.
I like Weleda’s skin food for my legs and feet.
Yes its great on feet, at night with socks on
Yes, definitely with socks. I’ve also been putting Burt’s Bees Hand Cream on my heels and it’s great but again I definitely have to wear socks with it to stop it coming off all over the place.
I haven’t tried any of these, they sound nice tho. I really need a good body moisturizer this winter.
I like the sound of Biossance Squalane + Caffeine Toning Body Cream however they all sound worth a try.
The Weleda skin food is a staple in my household.
My husband adores the Duit tough range.
I’m also loving the new Du-it hand sanitiser crossed with hand cream edition! This stuff is awesome!
I wish I could convince my husband to use anything. Just water he uses.
Weleda is good, and more in my price range than some of the other ones
It is definitely more affordable.
I’ve been using the Weleda body butter which is really hydrating
I’ve just started using the Weleda Skin Food Light & so far so good.
I tried the bum bum cream it’s divine very hydrating and the scent lingers for days!
Hahaha lol Brazilian Bum Bum Cream! so funny name – but I guess over there it could be a serious issue lol
just clarifying… because it’s hot weather over there and their fashion is to show their bottoms – hence the name I expect – brazilian bum bum cream!
Wow fashion!! That’s crazy! I’m so glad I live here.
Thanks so much BH for your Article on the Best Body Creams for Winter. My Favourite is Weleda Skin Food, have never tried DU’IT Tough Body Probiotic Lotion or L’Occitane Shea Ultra Rich Body Cream. So many that I need to try.
Hubby has discovered the DU’IT range, and I’m finishing off tubes of Weleda and bottles of Dermaveen and Bioderma body lotions before I open anything elese.
The Weleda now comes in a body lotion too
The Duit hand scrub is fabulous too
Yes to all of the above!
Du’it makes great stuff, but I haven’t tried this new probiotic lotion.
Wow! Id love to try all of them.
I swear my body just cries as it remains neglected while I slather my face in multiple treatments. Sorry body. That Biossance one sounds amazing.
I really like all Weleda products and especially the skin food. I haven’t used the others but they sound excellent.
Some good ones here. I like the idea of all natural Weleda
Love Weleda currently using the skin food body butter!
All body creams work even better if you use them regularly. Some of these sound great… but expensive.
Haven’t tried any of those.
Would love to try Weleda Skin Food. Good that it is at Priceline now.
The weather has been so cold and especially dry lately so I’m slathering on every cream I have 😀
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is rather expensive and quite a funny name? What do you think?
I very rarely use a body moisturiser, the bum bum one does smell amazing though💕
I really want to try the bum bum cream.
My skin has been so itchy lately.
It is the weather!
I would love to try the Bum Bum cream
Some great products here for the colder weather.
Weleda for legs and feet.
I’ve used both Skin Food + the lighter version & the latter is my fave, although given how little product you get & how quickly I go through body lotions, it’s a sometimes purchase for me. I’ve currently gone back to A Bit Hippy’s body moisturiser & I’m liking it again, but I think Moogoo’s Full Cream Moisturiser has stolen my heart a bit. I’ve also just purchased a Briogeo body lotion (supposedly smells like banana & coconut, but I get neither scent tbh) + a Sol de Janeiro body lotion (not the Bum Bum Cream, but a fragrance free body lotion of theirs) to try, so I’ll be giving them a whirl in the coming months.
Ooh so many great options here, I’ve been lathering my skin in almond oil (sorry those with nut allergies, I’m sure you can find an alternative) post shower and it’s really helped with my dry skin. It’s even helping combat my cracked hands thanks to excessive hand washing at work.
I do love the smell of the bum bum cream and would like to try the biossance one too.
My skin needs some attention and moisturising – it has that dry winter look! My face gets plenty of attention from moisturiser, not so for other parts. I love Weleda Skin Food!
I need all of these, my skin is very dry and it gets worse in winter.
My skin is definitely like sandpaper! I’d love to try any of these. Just ordered some creams from Lush though as they’re my favourite! I’ve tried the DU’IT hand and foot cream before and it definitely works.
Picked up Weleda skin food. Although it can be used on both face and body, I’ll probably use it for the body when it needs a hydration boost
Weleda skin food is so thick and nourishing.
My daughter uses the Bum Bum Cream but at $67 smelling it’s as close as I’ll get!
Goodness that is so expensive!
Weleda Skin Food is lovely – so silky. Can’t get enough this time of year – between cold wind and the hot fire, my skin needs lots of moisture.
