Glosscars 2011 - Men's - beautyheaven

It’s award season in Tinseltown, which means…it’s awards time at beautyheaven too! That’s right beauties, the Glosscars are back and this year they’re bigger and better than ever!

The clever clogs in the beauty industry had a bumper year creating a load of new products in 2010, and we’re super excited to showcase the crème de la crème of the fruits of their labour.
But what’s an awards event without a panel of expert judges? Which is exactly where you kids come in! Because you’re all such bona fide beauty addicts, we’re letting you choose our glossy winners! It’s as easy as telling us which beauty buys you loved in ’10. Maybe you found the new holy grail of foundations that you just can’t keep quiet about? Or perhaps you’ve turned into a skincare junkie after being introduced to a range that works for you?
No doubt if it’s brilliant it’s been nominated for a Glosscar, and in order to win one of our prestigious and oh-so coveted awards it needs you to vote for it, now!

The nominations

Beautyheaven invited the beauty industry to nominate award-worthy new products within a range of beauty categories. To be eligible for this year’s Glosscar nominations, products must have been launched onto the Australian market between January 1st and December 31st, 2010 and be available for review on beautyheaven.com.au.

How to vote

We’ve gathered the nominations together, now you be the judge! Simply submit a review and star rating for your favourite nominees and the star rating will count as points towards the coveted award. ”¨The product in each category with the highest number of points (star ratings) at the end of the voting period will be awarded a 2011 Glosscar. Should a tie occur, reviews for the products in question will be considered, and a winner determined by beautyheaven’s editorial team. Please note: if you have previously reviewed a product (before February 13th, 2011) that’s now nominated but feel it’s worthy of a Glosscar, you are able to submit a second review.

Voting is exclusive to registered beautyheaven members (not yet a member? Sign up here now!). Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 6th March 2011.

Want to win the ultimate in beauty booty? Once the votes have been cast we’ll be giving away packs containing every winning product, in every category to 20 lucky members! These must-have goodie packs are valued on average at over $1500 each, and will be awarded to the 20 members who we believe have contributed the most valuable (quality, not necessarily quantity!) reviews throughout the voting process. (Please note: voting is only open to beautyheaven members from pink status upwards. At this time, votes from grey status members will not be counted. If you are currently a grey member, start reviewing products, commenting on blogs, sharing articles, and posting in the forums so you move up the ranks!)
