Did you know that Rimmel London originally started out as a perfumery? Yep, The House of Rimmel, as it was known back then, opened in 1834 by a then 14-year-old Eugene Rimmel and his father, a French perfumer. Upon Eugene’s death in 1887, his two sons continued the business focusing on eye-enhancing products. So popular were their mascaras that, to this day, rimmel is used to describe mascara in several different languages. But then with gems like Glam’eyes Mascara and Endless Length & Lift Mascara we’re not surprised.
