For those of you who follow the happenings on beautyheaven, you’ll no doubt remember that we recently ran a BlogStar competition where we asked entrants to submit either a video or written blog.
The winner in each category won a coveted blog spot on our site to showcase their entry, as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to Sydney for them and a friend, staying at the uber-cool Shangri-La hotel, indulging in a day of pampering, and finishing off with dinner at a top Sydney restaurant. Pretty sweet prize if we do say so ourselves!
So Friday was the day that the winners – Holly (pictured on the right) for her video blog, and Aimee (left) in the written sector – came to Sydney to claim their prize. The beautyheaven office was a-buzz with excitement at finally having some face-to-face time with two of our members, and we weren’t disappointed with Holly and her mum Alicja, and Aimee and her friend Kelly, who were an absolute pleasure to meet and entertain for the day.
The girls all started off with a relaxing massage, facial and manicure/pedicure at Rozelle’s Endota Spa, after which they headed back to BH headquarters for some lunch, a quick celeb-style photo shoot, and a two minute make-up challenge (stay tuned for the video footage!). Then it was off to Balmain’s Veev Hair and Beauty where they were given the VIP treatment as they had their hair and make-up done, before being whisked off to dinner at Neil Perry’s famous Rockpool Bar & Grill.
I think it’s pretty safe to say a fantastic time was had by all, and we can’t wait til the next BlogStar comp comes around so we can meet some more of our fabulous members!
